Electrification of Medium Duty and Heavy Duty Fleets – Using AI Technology to solve electric vehicle charging infrastructure and operational challenges
Abstract:
As fleets electrify, the fleet operators involved in delivery goods (such as Amazon) or moving people are challenged on multiple fronts.
1. Installing, managing and integrating the electric vehicle (EV) charging infrastructure with the rest of the operations is a challenge. Getting the electrical grid connection from the utility to get the capacity needed for the chargers is also a significant challenge.
2. Charging operation itself is challenging and can result in very high electric bills if unmanaged.
3. While chargers may have large up-times, charging reliability is a challenge – due to multiple reasons.
4. The fleet operators are used to internal combustion engine (ICE) vehicles that can fill up diesel or gasoline practically anywhere and quickly, however electric vehicles are constrained in several ways, resulting in them having to rethink and redesign their entire operations.
The talk will present how AI and machine learning software is being used to solve the problems related to integration, high electric cost, charging operations, reliability and operations.

The Open for Good™ Data Initiative: Advancing Corporate Sustainability Transparency
Abstract:
Corporate sustainability is increasing in demand, but unbiased and dependable environmental, social, and governance data remains a challenge. To tackle this issue, the Center for Impact has developed the Open For Good™ platform, which offers a comprehensive assessment of corporate transparency across sustainability categories.
